A Cave Beneath My Cube

Got a desk job in an office park
I’ve stuck it out since ninety-two
Through many changes in the management
No one’s sure just what I do

I have my duties and I get them done
But no one watches over me
If I don’t get caught doing nothing
They’ll keep me on - they’ll let me be

But I get tired of the Internet
And changing screens when I hear feet
I've played a million games of solitaire
When all I'd like to do is sleep

(So) I go to work on nights and weekends
So none can witness what I do
Beneath my desk I pulled the rug back
I'm digging out a cave beneath my cube

Someday soon I’ll have it nice here
A lava lamp, a waterbed
When I tire of playing minesweeper
I'll slip on down and rest my head

I go to work on nights and weekends
So none can witness what I do
I’m through cement I’m down to dirt now
I'm digging out a cave beneath my cube

I go to work on nights and weekends
So none can witness what I do
I’m hauling dirt out to the dumpster
I'm digging out a cave beneath my cube
Digging out a cave beneath my cube
I’m digging, digging out a cave beneath my –
